I created you
Out of the depths of my soul,
The desires of my heart,
Where you waited in painful silence
Since the dawn of my awakening.

I did not know you "were"
Until I became you.
All that you are:
Strength, honor, loyalty, and truth,
I allowed to flourish within me,
Perhaps to prove to myself
You could really exist
Outside the boundaries of my mind -
A perfect manifestation
Conceived of by an imperfect soul,
Devoid only of love,
The one emotion I could not grant you
For I had never known it myself
Before you were born.

And now I feel it so profoundly,
Guard over it ever carefully,
So that when our paths unite
I can present this love to you,
Pure and unblemished,
Making you complete.
And it will be in that moment
That you will know. . .

Your love was always safest
In my hands.

Brandyn* I was completely moved by this, your words are like soft breezes on a warm summer day, showing how love brings out the best and more often than not brings out things we never knew exsisted within us at all. Beautifully done, thank you so much for sharing this.

Kiss me for tomorrow
But love me for today.

Beautifully written, eloquently said. So true, also...we cannot make love appear...it has to find us, and we have to tend to it carefully. You said it in such a sweet and tender manner, one that only those who truly know love could say it. Very nice work, Brandyn.

   A beautifully written piece!

"I created you
out of the depths of my soul,
the desires of my heart"

"And it will be in that moment
that you will know...
your love was always safest
in my hands."

Such beautiful and breathtaking lines!
You have a unique talent!  Thanks for sharing this!
