I created you
Out of the depths of my soul,
The desires of my heart,
Where you waited in painful silence
Since the dawn of my awakening.

I did not know you "were"
Until I became you.
All that you are:
Strength, honor, loyalty, and truth,
I allowed to flourish within me,
Perhaps to prove to myself
You could really exist
Outside the boundaries of my mind -
A perfect manifestation
Conceived of by an imperfect soul,
Devoid only of love,
The one emotion I could not grant you
For I had never known it myself
Before you were born.

And now I feel it so profoundly,
Guard over it ever carefully,
So that when our paths unite
I can present this love to you,
Pure and unblemished,
Making you complete.
And it will be in that moment
That you will know. . .
