Everything under the rubric "New Age" Seems to me like well-meaning spewage: Crystal power, Rolfing, ginseng tea, Holistic healing, homeopathy, All of it has about as much use As bathing in bourbon and pineapple juice. New agers seeking the key to existence Seem to discard normal resistance To mountbanks, scams and outright crooks Peddling pills, potions and worthless books. And those who claim to find pie in the sky Are no better off than you and I. It's their life. As they please let 'em spend it. I've said my piece in this poem, so I'll end it. |

In this 'techno-age' I think some people truly don't realize that there really is 'nothing new under the sun', perhaps just new ways of presenting age old truths. But as your poem states so well, 'to each his own'. Denise |
