Just The Morning

This is it, just the morning for the gaze
into my soul, because of foggy haze
laying low
across the land, white and gray
this is the morning for the gaze.

There is always a quiet reverie
come to my bones in such a way
as to not chill, nor to scare away
any old ghosts, but come to play
in all the words I had to say.

Gray now the morning, misty cool,
ah youth, such a vigorous fool
and the tears, would fill with rain the pool
of the life in which I swam
of which is gone, stronger I am.

This is it, just the morning for the gaze
into my soul, because of foggy haze
laying low
across the land, white and gray
this is the morning for the gaze.

Sunshine, i like the imagery of this....ah, that early morning foggy haze, and the ghosts that come to play.
~~nice writing~~

Beautiful!  Simply beautiful!  This must be one of my favorites in all of yours which I have read. Strikes a strong chord inside of me.  So much truth, and so meticulously worded.  This is wonderful.

Well, I see from these lovely responses I must post more spontaneously - such as I did here.  This took but a nano-second to write.. 'twas a foggy morning...ta-da...

You all blew me away with your fantastic comments.  I am sitting here...humbly thanking you all for such delightful sentiments...thank you, thank you...

In my opinion the best writing is done spontaneously. I love this one by the way.
