          Rain Song

if I could see the woodwinds
upon the valley drawn
if I could read the mountains
that calls the night to dawn
then I could climb the waters
decending like a song
into the evening shadows upon the skies...beyond

Forrest,

You have a great deal of talent...your words paint wonderful images. Looks like we're both taking a little foray out of CA.
Very nice, Forrest.

This was lovely!  It took me right there, and with such beautiful rhymes.  I loved it! What a feeling it gives!
