State of constant confusion!

0 posted 2000-05-02 11:53 PM

I thought it would be easy
to get through this on my own
That I really didn't need her
I could face this world alone

She forgot to take her memory with her
when she left me here alone
Every time I think I'm over her
It reminds me that I'm wrong

I'd be back to my old self
within a day- two at the most
But when she left she forgot
to take with her, her ghost

She forgot to take her memory with her
when she left me on my own
And every time I think I'm over her
I'm reminded that she's gone

I would like to thank Micheal for helping me with this piece.
You will never know how grateful I am.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Jeffrey

Oh, sweet Jeffrey~
This is stunning in it's portrayal of
your heart right now.

You will see ... 'Another Love Will Come'
and I want to be around to see it light up your face and your poetry.
It will happen, hon ... honest.

Love and hugs and kisses and all that
wonderful mushy stuff !

Jeffery,
this is  perfect...now I know what your reply meant
yes..it feels this way..but in time the memories get sweeter.
and yes this does sound like good old fashioned tear jerker country song...

great job Jeff.

Jeffrey, I guess you know that I can relate to the feelings you've so aptly expressed with this piece...whether it be death or another form of separation that keeps us from the one we love, the ghosts of memory are there far beyond the physical presence, and can transcend all time and sensory boundaries. I'm glad you're writing about it...take care, my friend.

Dear Jeffrey~
Yep damn them for not taking their memories with them, makes moving on and getting on with your life a whole lot harder. Hope the hurt starts to fade a little soon.

Your words and sentiments are moving Jeffrey ... if we could only place our memories in a box, to be taken out and dusted off only when we want to, it would be so much easier. Alas ... only time can heal the wounds.  Beautifully written from the heart!

Jeffrey,
What a lovely poem.  I know how that ghost of memory lingers all to well.  But trust me, even that ghost will fade in time.  It just takes that -- time.  Time and the support of all the friends who care about you!

Love Ya~

Jeffrey, this is a wonderful poem. Yes, you may walk away from a person, but their memory is always with you.

good stuff, Jeff...now, was Michael the inspiration or just the "tweaker?"

Hehe...well you were talking guit-fiddle at first and I was thinkin' about a good ol' red-neck roust, playin' music on pots & pans & old scrub boards....LOL

But since you mentioned guitar - well, let's do this thing up right then...  That's my e-ticket there.

Hey, Jeffrey, this poem is "all you" - don't be swingin't too much credit my way.  I'll give a tip or two anytime you need one, bud.
This one turned out wonderful for you.

A beautiful job Jeffrey, written from your heart as all your work is.  And yes "they" would be much easier to get over if they took their memories....but when it stops hurting it's nice to remember the good times too.  Thank you so much for sharing a piece of your heart with us.

Jeffrey,

I'd have to agree with so many who have already written their comments... this should have music to go with it.  Maybe some sweet notes would even help to ease the pain.

Very nice poem.

very beautiful, I do believe I heard a song like this.. Memories like the corners of my mind... memories also help us in looking ahead to more memories lest we forget. hehe Isn't it ironic.. I believe that's a song too.
