Spring They Say

Spring they say
yet still the trace
of winter's frosty morning cold.
I bury myself naked
beneath the comfort
of your warm welcome shoulder.
This sheltering love
is against everything
I believe in, yet
I would not break free
even if I could.

Colored bottles
along the windowsill
cast rainbows of hope
on our bedroom wall.
Spring they say,
yet divided from winter
only by a date
on the calendar.

Beki, spring they say is always looked forward to, but summer is what I desire.
Great poem, really enjoyed

Very nice, Beki - I've got to say that spring is the best for me - I love all that fresh new green life everywhere - and having summer to look forward to...

Beki,
I could feel the emotion in this piece. Makes me want to crawl back in bed with the love of my life.

All my love,
Jeffrey

Warm beach days are coming....according to the calendar.  Even those cool, chilly mornings walking on the beach can be exhilarating!
Nice poem Beki~~~

I love beach spring and fall beach weather more than any other, Danny, that's why I live here! Summer means tourists mucking up my beach so I amnot a huge fan, but spring mornings and evenings walking by the sea are the best! As is fall....weather much the same both times, cool ams and evenings with awesome breezes , warm days...wonderful!

Thanks for reading, my friend

Great work. I love the flow. Winter is my favorite although I love spring because the earth reawakens from dormancy. Thanks. ACT.
