Sorry to be posting this so late, like it is said better late than never...

I am probably more confused than ever before about myself.... anyway here it is!

I am a crazy monster and a serious thought
I wonder if monsters are allowed to smile and cry
I hear a sigh and a shout
I see a reflection in the mirror, a face so dry
I want to be a gentleman and a poet, but
I am a crazy monster and a serious thought

I pretend to be a writer of fame
I feel myself to be an excuse too lame
I touch my heart and feel a rock
I worry about lost love that left me in shock
I cry out for victims of war long-fought
I am a crazy monster and a serious thought

I understand nothing much about life
I say often things that cause plenty of strife
I dream hardly ever, mere thought of one gives me a fever
I try not to make too many a error
I hope that in the midst of right and wrong, I am not caught
I am a crazy monster and a serious thought

Take each day as it comes,
Consider each day as a flight,
Try hard to succeed and fly,
Surely then you will reach some height.

But if by some chance you don’t,
Remember that tomorrow will always come.
Learn this well and learn this hard
That today’s efforts will pay for tomorrow’s fun.

A Crazy Monster, a.k.a Ski

***sudhir,
i can really relate to this one.
it echoes alot of my own thoughts
i have a poem called moinster that the first
couple of lines in this poem remind me of.
i doubt i'll post it in the near future as it's not one of my finest works!
i love this.
well done.

Hey mete ...
Thanks for the words...

Why don't you just post your poem, and let us all decide if it is a good work or not? I am sure it would be a good one. Lets see it!

regards, sudhir

"I touch my heart and feel a rock."  Sudhir I have never heard anyone describe their heart in this way before...I think in terms of soft heart, hard heart, broken heart...is this what you mean a hard heart?   Thanks for telling us who you are...James

Alicat,
Firstly thanks for providing me with a chance to actually explore myself.

The template was great and set me to think and like I said, my confusion about myself has increased. I write many poems on what happens around me, war, people, friendship, seasons, but not much on myself as I had to in this case. I hope that you like my other works too. I am only a part-timer in poetry, not very artistic, but I love reading a lot of this stuff, and often end up admiring so many of the writers and poets that I read. This place has given me a unique opportunity to see what others write, through my eyes and theirs. Thanks to people like you, I think I am beginning to grasp the essence of writing in a structured way, though the mind always thinks in a random and cluttered way.

James,
a rock for me symbolises the hardened product of the forces of nature, weather, time, rains, lashes of sea waves....
A hardened heart is an often troubled one, to which more misery does not cause more anguish. It also signifies a steady heart, that stands still often giving a sense of security to the owner. I was just trying a multiplicity of meanings there. I hope I did not try and overdo it.

Thanks for your comment.

Netswan,
Thanks for the advice, I think a touch of Vita. B should help me!!!! I really want to dream a few dreamy dreams....

Love you all, friends, and I hope you enjoy my presence as much as I enjoy yours...

regards - sudhir
