~ Dance with Butterflies ~

You and me
we dance with butterflies -
Trembling
with laughter in our sighs...
Flying high
upon eachother's breeze -
Sailing free
thereon the deepest seas.

* * *
Brightest blue
the sky when I'm with you -
Sweetest dreams
I have, and they're of you...
You and me
we soar to heights unknown -
Far beyond
the faintest stars we've flown.

* * *
Take my hand
let's dance with butterflies -
The music that
I hear, is in your eyes...

Awe, now this is simply beautiful.  I love it when you write such tender and light rhyme.  You are truly one of a kind, Gen.

whoever you wrote this for must be a truly fantabulous person. the metaphors and symbolism are great.
"with laughter in our sighs"
"flying high upon eachother's breeze"
"far beyond the faintest stars we've flown."

i couldn't pick a fav line so i metioned all of them. i indeed have much to learn... =)
good work!

Aahhh...my little trio tribe!  LOL  Thank you Michael for your words so sweet, and Mr. Halo, my newfound friend, and Miss Janet....   What can I say, except that you've kept me sane these last few weeks girl!  Thank you all so much!  This little piece just came from the concept of having butterflies in one's stomach, and it went from there....just a few sweet thoughts.  Thanks guys and girl!

This was verty sweet, it touched me. It is very enjoyable to erad poetry so full of sincerety. I also think the mechanics of this work were wonderful. It flowed from beginning to end. I have always believed poetry should be very easy to read and this was that. Thank you for a lovely piece.

Yeah I know... digging all thse old ones out of the past guys, but I've got some cathing up to do... besides... poems liek this are worth reading more than once! =)

Just wanted to put in a late 2 cents and say what a cool poem it was.

I think I'm spoiled on the longer ones you write now.    But for a short one they don't get much better. =)  Tanx Gen!
