I heard your voice today
and it took my breath away
I saw the sparkle in your eyes
and I remembered your silent cries
I felt your body shake once more
like it did the year before
with your tears falling fast
you thought the pain would always last
but now you've found your dreams
you've found the world before you it seems
and I held you for just a flash
and then my heart was turned to ash
for my dreams were made with you in mind
you saying goodbye was one I'd hope not find
I held back those tears till the moment died
denied myself till in the dark I cried
still I'll never quite say goodbye
and till I find another, perpetuate this lie
but for now you'll always be mine
a dream for me to wine and dine
so one day I'll let you go
I'll move on, yet you'll never know
for my tears lie beneath the skin
trapped for the world I have within

How achingly sad....I've known this feeling all too well.  This is a beautiful poem.

Beautiful poem, but so filled with saddness.  That feeling is shown unto us all at one point.  I enjoyed this poem very much!

Desperado~
Somewhere tonight a heart is aching ...

This is very sensitively done.

hey, des... this poem's HOT!

Lemme ask you this... when you were trying to win this girl's heart, did you invite her to stay at the Hotel Clositito?

Maybe you shoulda.. heard it was some kinda cool... small, intimate, and close to all the important sites.

seriously, babe.. loved this! you're the poetman!

thanks you guys.  I appreciate it.  I'm fixing to disappear once again, this time for only about two-three weeks, hopefully.  by then I should have a computer, internet, and all that stuff.  hehe God Bless!

Wow.  I loved those last lines... the rest was cool too, but those last lines really drove it home.
