State of constant confusion!

0 posted 2000-04-30 11:23 PM

I am waiting and anticipating what
the future holds
I far too often wonder,
how you could be so cold
I hear you saying,
you don't love me anymore
I see that things will never be
the way they were before
I want to make a stand,
I want so much to be bold
I am waiting and anticipating
what the future holds

I pretend it doesn't hurt
when you tell me your lies
I feel my heart breaking
when I hear you say good-bye
I touch upon the memories
of our fleeting past
and I worry I won't find another love
that this will be my last
I cry at the thought
of finding love untold
I am waiting and anticipating
what the future holds

I now understand
sometimes two must go their seperate ways
So , I say " What the hell,
tomorrow will be a brighter day"
I dream of one day finding
someone made for only me
I try to keep telling myself
that this was meant to be
I hope to find someone
who will return my love 100 fold
I am waiting and anticipating
what the future holds

This was inspired by a friends story. I hope it brings some hope into your life.

but dreams can be so real when you don't know you're asleep

Jeffrey, what a kind and wonderful thing
to write for a friend -- think I know who
she is - and hope she will be my friend
too.

Lovely poem -- reads well.

Hope of tomorrow always brings new adventure.

Hugs,

You've put a painful bite of reality upon this challenge Jeff...and you've did it rather well!! I've felt many heartaches to date...and it seems that EVERYTHING happens for a reason!!! Hang in there hun!!!

Okay.  I am confused.  (But it was done so nicely, who could mind?)  Hello to you, dear JC, this is beautiful and worry not, I've no desire to know everything...(I keep enough secrets already...lol)  Hugs.

Jeffrey,

This was very touching and sweet, my friend.  Brought a tear to my eye with the way you have reached out to help a friend in need.  Excellent and wonderful writing, Jeffrey.  I know it gives me hope for the future and what could be.  Thank you for sharing!!

Jeffrey,
I, too, am waiting for someone to return my love.  I know the pain of loss, and it is never easy to deal with.  But I made it, with the help of some very dear friends.  I know how it feels to have to go your seperate ways.  But I learned not too long ago that I am not truly alone, and, my friend, neither are you.

Jeffery this was a very emotional poem. I can see you had feelings that went way beyond this. Love is such a fragile thing. Beautiful!
