In the space between moments

Moonkisses touch in soft regret
Upon her blowing hair of gold
As tomorrow's dreams of fancy
Grow to become bitter cold.

Falling like the fading stars
Are the dreams of yesteryear
The warmth of love once had
Now glints within a quiet tear.

Upon her silken skin of white
Angel wings softly caress
Hope glimmers within distant eyes
Dancing with gentle finesse.

Fragrance lingers, clean and light
Sprinkled within the breeze
There he stands, framed in gold
Now falling to his knees.

"Your beauty is forevermore."
Are his strongly desperate words
He speaks of his ignorance
And how his reasons had been absurd.

"Will you take me back, my love?"
He asks between sliding tears
She cannot keep from smiling
And saying "Oh, yes my dear."

He rushes into waiting arms
And two lost souls connect again
They learn that the light of love
Can cleanse the pain within.

Krista~
This is one of the prettiest pieces I've ever read from you.
Your muse is whispering magic.

'Falling like the fading stars
Are the dreams of yesteryear
The warmth of love once had
Now glints within a quiet tear.'

Just lovely, my friend.

Great poem Krista!  I liked seeing a happy ending, and the moral at the end.  Excellent

Good poem, Krista. Things can indeed turn around if both want it to...nicely done.

It takes a strong woman to make lost love work...best wishes to you!!! And the poem was simply perfect to my eyes!!!

Open arms can be the most fragile in the world...
