I am...
Yet what I am no one cares or knows
My friends treat me like a memory lost
I am the self-consumer of my woes
They rise and vanish in oblivious host
Like shades in love and death's oblivion lost
And yet I am and live with shadows tossed

Into the nothingness of scorn and noise
Into the living sea of waking dreams
Where there is neither sense or life nor joys
But the vast shipwreck of my life esteems
And even the dearest , that I love the best
Are strange , rather stranger than the rest

I long for scenes where man has never trod
A place where woman never smiled or wept
There to abide with my creator , God
And sleep as I in childhood sweetly slept
Untroubling and untroubled where I lie
The grass below above the valted sky

"Only in the dreams , is that man can truly be free
It was always thus and always thus will be"

I know it's been a long road
To get these towns behind me and I
Will gladly reap what we may sow--
I am there for you ...
and you're there for me ...
Are you waiting for
Heart in hand
Woman and man
See me where I stand I am
Heart
Heart in hand
~vertical horizon~

LoneRanger....this is simply beautiful, though sad at the same time.  I too long for that place where I, alone with my Lord, can be at peace.  Who knows?  Perhaps I'll find it as I wander across this country.
