My dog buried my funny bone
So I sit here sad and blue
Don’t laugh my friends you never know
When it could happen to you

I left it on the back of the chair
As I leaned in to pet the cat
I felt a shooting pain just then
And shouted out “Oh Drat!”

That’s when the dog rushed me
Grabbed my funny bone and ran
I chased him up and down the street
Till he hid in an old trash can.

I saw him later, covered in mud
A smile upon his jowls
When questioned about my funny bone
All I got from him was growls!

So in my jammies, I dig all night
Trying to find that bone of humor
Drenched to the skin, never minding
Being caught in a summer downpour

So, my friends if you find that bone
Please return it quickly to me
Cause without that bone, I’m nothing
And I’m nothing if I’m not funny!!

Is your bone as funny as my bone? Would it make people giggle and laugh!?

Well, you are something without. And I could swear ya just had it a minute ago!?

Oops, I'm not supposed to do that (swear that is)

I think I might
have saw your bone
It was with "Deer"
upon his throne!

Balladeer has a bone throne?
Now who would ever never known?
Does he collect buried bone
Hiding them deep in his home
To wire together into a throne?
Oh, alas, how the winds have blown
For DeVine has lost her funny bone
It is I guess as we should've known:
A throwny boney funny boney throne

Shakespearette had her two back legs operated on when she was a pup; (I couldn't bear to put her to sleep, so I worked OT for serious surgery) so now the Toy Fox waddles.  Really sad and funny at the same time, but she's mine and I love her.  Licks and Kisses.

A little over a year ago, we offered to babysit a dog for a friend. Up until today, we kept him..he's a wonderful, kind, loving black Lab. My in-laws in Chicago lost a dog recently (and we have 2 more dogs) so they asked if they could have him. We were sad to see him go, but knew they would love him. So off he went to Chicago today. The point of this story is: The former owners named him Hooters. So as of today, my Hooters are in Chicago!!!

Sharon, you are a riot.  Why don't you come up here, and we'll go rhyming at some poet's pub.  Hey, you're all invited.  Leave the pets at home though, Shakey doesn't like competition.

Poet deVine, jammies and bones!!

I'm speechless! Keep your eyes peeled for bottles as you dig

(It'll take several U-Boats for them to decipher that PDV)
