I am feeling very weary
From the struggle of everyday life
Wishing I could close my eyes
And wake up with a brand new life
One filled with peace and happiness
No more arguing or fighting

I know that one day soon
My wish will be coming true
We will part getting our own places
You know it is the truth
Both looking for a new start
For our love has gone

You and I will have to be strong
I hope that we can get along
At least try to be civil
Until all is said and done
Sorry it ended this way
With so much pain and suffering

I know I can't love one
Who does not love me back
This is the path we have chosen
I'll be with you until the fork in the road
Then we'll go our separate ways
Maybe a friendship can be forged

Breaking up is hard to do.
This is great, Lone Wolf -- such a tough
time in life.  Well written, and put
the feeling of what you are going through.
I hope you can a forge a friendship.

Take care!

netswan,
Yes it is hard to break up.....very hard.
Thank you for the kind words.  I hope we can to, but am not sure right now.  I will try to take care.  You too!!!

LoneWolf~
This is a well-written page of your feelings.

'I'll be with you until the fork in the road
Then we'll go our separate ways
Maybe a friendship can be forged'

I really like this line ...
says so much.  Optimism is often hard to find in separation ... but you managed to leave room for it to happen.

I love the word 'maybe' .. it leaves so much room for us to change our minds.
Love ya'

LW, stay strong on that journey.  If your wish is coming true, there will be hope and happiness on that path.  Life is about discovery, mostly about ourselves.  And each time we face that fork in the road, we shape the path that becomes our lives.
Best of luck to you on that journey~~~

Marge,
Thank you very much!!  I am doind my best to see the optimism in this situation.  Not always easy, but I don't think that just because we no longer want to be married we can't at least be civil and friendly.  I thought maybe was a fitting word.  After all, it is not really my choice to make.
Love ya, too.

Danny,
I am doing my best to be strong.  Not always easy though.  I know the path is mine to shape and the fork will lead to happiness and hope for the future.  Thank you for the luck!!  I know my friends will help me through.  Great advice!!
