I know you wont forgive me
so I wont even ask
I'll just slip out quietly
and put back on my mask

I didn't want to do it
but I did it anyway
and I know you wont forgive me
so I'll be on my way

 I'm not waving, I'm drowning!

Hi, sweetheart,
This has a timid sweetness to it, although I think all can be forgiven.
Love you
Liz

Echo Rayne,
All things can be forgiven. Sometimes we all make mistakes. As timid as this piece is it is still beaytifully written.

All my love,
Jeffrey

Dear Echo,
I won't presume to know whats been done but I hear a cry for help, timid as it may be your plea is heard, Don't Give Up! Your poem in Spiritual Journeys lead me here to let you know that God Loves You and cares about You.
Your HELP is here if you only allow it!
Peace unto you my Sister, Dennis

Dear Echo; I have a small question for you. If all the universe and all the beauty of this world was created by God and He is that immense and that all powerful, why then would your sin be so much greater that He can't forgive you? Your sin is nothing, only a small speck in comparison to His immense Mercy and tremendous Love that He has for you. Think about it this way...What have you got to loose if you just ask Him for His forgiveness and see what happens? We all care about you here andI willkeep you in my prayers and in my heart this day.
One last thought. I am the mother of six children. They have made some bad choices, on occasion, but I love them so much, that I often tell them that there is nothing they can do to make me stop loving them. Now, imagine how much greater is His Love for you! I'm available by e-mail if you need to talk. Love, Ellie

Echo - I saw your post in Spiritual Journeys and came to read this.  Trust me kiddo, I've worn the mask, and I have felt that I just couldn't take anymore....I have felt so very unworthy, put out, angry, hurt.....the whole spectrum.... Eventually, when I had to look up to see the bottom, I gave it all to Him... and, He took it.  He's there for you, you need only hand it over.  Whatever it is that has you spiraling downward can soon be a distant memory -- if you give it to Him.  Just hold on Echo, tomorrow is another day, and all can be forgiven.  God Bless, Bonnie

"Nay, child, you not need even ask,
but lift from your eyes and face this mask;
for although you "did it" anyway,
you're forgiven now, and every day.

You are my child, you are my love,
peace be with you on the wings of the dove."

Melanie, You need not hide, forgiveness is in your heart it's always there waiting for you to use it when needed. We all need too forgive ourselves at times for none of us are perfect. We all have flaws and we all make mistakes and at those times we are our own worst enemies. I know I just came from there punishing myself to no end for not thinking and just acting. This morning I came to realize I had to forgive myself before I could help anyone else forgive me. I had that forgiveness waiting right there for me to use all along I was just too blind to see it. Please Melanie take a minute and look for it within yourself and know you have the power too receive forgiveness as well as give it.

I have to agree with the earlier posts and say that our God is such a loving God that He will forgive you of whatever you have done. But you must remember to forgive others the way He has forgiven you. Sorry to preach to you, but I think that many people forget the second part of that statement. Great job on the poem.
