A Most Beautiful Soul

Here I stand and gaze upon a celestial sight
And remember the grace bestowed upon me one night
For heaven opened her arms to show me love
And sent an angel to me upon the wings of a dove

What a beautiful soul I met that springtime day
One who touches my heart in a most special way
And who has shown to me that you don’t have to dream
To know that kindness and compassion still reign supreme

From “quaters” to “bubblers” to “squiggly cheese”
Our thoughts ride together upon a celestial breeze
And I know in my soul as I drift off to sleep
Thoughts of that angel from heaven I always keep

Each night I dream about a rainbow’s slide
Her hand in mine as we begin our ride
To a place where our souls are never apart
And where beauty and love overflow in our hearts

So to all the souls who read this poem I write
Who search for love but are still alone at night
Have faith and believe in all your prayers
For an angel from heaven you too can share!

Personally, I've never met anyone I could share squiggly cheese with but I admire anyone who has. The warmth and feeling you have displayed here makes this a good poem, tincan.
