Three Beach Girls

(possible repost, I can't remember!)

Water so cool, blue and green
Surreal and swirling so swift
Floating along an ocean dream
Three girls live just for this

Adrift on the tide, out to sea
A strong set of waves roll in
Building, gaining in velocity
Three girls shriek in harmony

They turn to swim quickly away
But the currents are too strong
Glint of sun on waves at play
No choice but to ride along

They all catch the smallest one
Crashing over the curling crest
White water plunging three feet down
Tumbling under and over

They finally come up for air
Heads of long hair in tangles
They screech with glee, not a care
heading right back into danger

No matter that their swimsuits slip
Tops sliding around to their backs
Sand in their hair, they casually flip
Just in case the boys are watching

Three sea nymphs playing at sea
Giggling, young and pretty
They have no responsibilities
This is what life is, they are hoping

Race You To The Waves!

Love it! Talk about a feeling of carefree and wild abandon! We should all be so lucky to experience that once in a while.

Corinne~
You make this romp in the surf sound like so much fun ..  I've been feeling the urge to head for the beach ...
LET'S GO !

This was fun !

Thanks, Walt, Balla"dear," Martie and Marge, this was me and my two best friends, for several years we just went to the beach in the summer.

I grew up in San Diego, 4 blocks from the ocean.  Was exactly as carefree as you might imagine.

And where I still go when I need to escape.

Thanks for your comments,

Corinne

Corinne, I can see you there romping, half naked with your friends........ Oh did I say half naked, I meant with your suits slipping, everywhere.... yeah thats what I meant.

Nice poem, nice image.
