I sit at my chair
Off the screen-saver goes
A few moments, then I'm online
And then I look
A tense moment...
And then I see his name in blue

It's always like a game
Who says hello first?
But today, I win...

And then we begin to talk
"How was your day"
"How was yours"
And then it becomes deep

It's strange to think
That I'm so readily sharing
All my hopes, my dreams
My deepest secrets
With someone on a completely diffrent contenent
But when I'm actually typing
It seems like the most natural thing
That I could ever do

He was just a friend at first
But now I feel much more...
Does he feel the same? I don't know

But I'm having a feeling of deja-vu...

My friends, along with my mind
Tell me how crazy this is
And how dangerous it can become
For my soul and my personal safety

In some way, I know they are right

But none of that comes to me

When I sit at my chair
Off the screen-saver goes...
And I see his name in blue

Love Bug this is very descriptive -
I love the poem.

The content makes alarms go off in my
head, though.

Ok, just to make this clear, it isn't that kind of relationship! (That's just gross!) I don't even know if he likes me or not, at this point we are friends, I'm just beginning to feel more.  Thanks for the replies, though!

Very lovely.....I like this...and don't be afraid of change....I mean before the invent of the car.....How limited was your choice of men or women... Same town maybe...or if you were lucky maybe two close towns.....then came the car and travel...then your choices became more and more.....Diffrent towns....countys...even states. The plane....brought new states and countrys......and the computer....well there is not end now.  It is a form of comunication and connection.  Its new...so enjoy because your parents could not...nor your grandparents.  We never choose the ones we love....we just do    Good luck

A man does not love a woman because she is beautiful...But she is beautiful because he loves her.

LoveBug, this is good writing.  Funny how easy it is to just type words and know someone around the world is reading them.
I believe you have expressed the feeling pretty well here.
