The Bio

So when asked
I felt as though they wanted me to fill
out my resume as for life itself my brains aim
has always been to dig a little deeper into the hay
oft recycled bios based and placed mostly in a sheaf
on shelves of early clips that I recall the junk-food
greasy chips hailed “the ballads” something
like a tossed salad and needless to
say yesterdaz as well as todaz
are still some what of a
mystery to me but
nonetheless the
second son of a
country singer and
guitarist my mother in this tale
who won my earliest respect named me
Dale she too was laced with the handle “Lucky”
most likely penned by grandma Gwaltney and in turn
momma called me “Blondy” I was graced with silky
fingers that could fly over steel brazen strings
and with a forged background in the
early classics squired a
uniquely different
stylish aura of
my own that
too turned sour in
the years of my first great
depression when Elvis hit the screen
and I was sure I’d forever be lost in the
scenery however I was over that by the
time Bobby Dylan made the top of
the charts singing through a
stuffed chilly nose and
bloose harmonica
hanging about
his skinny neck
though a good writer
he reminded me of a circus act
Nancy Sinatra and Lee Hazelwood had
become my daydreams but the tide beat
me again into tears when Sonny and
Cher broke it off and again I was
left despairing as my eyes
wandered over lives
high loft from
where I
was
staring.

[Maybe 2 more parts]

All your music will always be the sweetest and best to me, my love.  But you melt my heart away the most when you get on that old mellow acoustic guitar, and croon those blues to me!
