Funny Things

If I could see into the future, I'd look ahead a thousand years
I'd look for Unicorns and Dragons and spotty Polar Bears
I'd look for cows with seven horns and fish that couldn't swim
I'd find birds that fly upside down and worms with double chins
Then I'd look for you and me, to see just where we are,
in our sugar candy castle, with a ten wheeled paper car
And the world would be a funny shape, a triangle or a square
everything would be different and we just wouldn't care
'cause you'd be you and I'd be me, we'd be happy in our bliss
each day would start and it would end with a soft and tender kiss
And in this world of funny things and multi-coloured silly sights
there's long warm days with ginger skies and snuggled up cosy nights
We'd look each day across the view of our technicoloured land
and walk into the sunset
a hand in each others hand
