I am thankful for the star beams
They keep me wakeful through the night
For I would drift along in dreams
Where melancholy guides my flight

My love she’s beauty in my eyes
Playful, happy, enjoying life
But when the sky wears its disguise
My saddened heart bears the knife

The blinds are turned the drapes are drawn
There’s heavy blackness weighing in
I lay awake in wait for dawn
To see my love holding her again

If I’m to live in blue and gray
Star beams peaking through the mask
Will keep my longing heart in sway
I know Heaven’s up for the task

I enjoyed this...its rhythm and "sound" of melancholia, particularly. Quite lovely, Walt.

Very beautiful Walt.  Definitely some hope here.

I know the real reason you're little boy blue. You have a big heart and I love you. . .now you know what you need to do.
