             Expect me soon

Of late I've been working with alchemy,
Here in secret, in my Ivory tower.
I'm brewing up a little sorcery,
While I wile away the lonely hour.

I have set a cauldron above a flame,
Filling it with all sorts of conspire,
Making a mixture of specific aim.
To swallow and to sate and quell my ire.

I've put in some feathers of eagle wings.
Added some sole of some seven league boots.
And so many other seasoning things,
Some hoots of a fast moving train with toots.

Some horn of some toads some queen anne lace,
Some humming birds tongues and a song unsung.
I've added salt and some pepper to taste,
Some base black wrung and some blow fish lung.

Been brewing this mixture for months on end,
Still in the process of rending the rend.
When it is through I will sip it on cue,
Jump off of my tower and fly straight to you.

I'll fly to you my love with a song and an ode,
On wings of an eagle, on the horn of a toad.

I've been wondering what that smell was, Sy!! I thought it was the wind coming off the Everglades!

That mixture might stink but the poem doesn't. Excellent work again, Sy

This is delightful, Sy, and I'm glad I'm not down wind!

Seymour~
I sense shades of MacBeth here ...

'Double - double, toil and trouble
Fire burn and cauldron bubble.'

Sorcery indeed !
You've stirred the pot with this one.
Wonderfully done.

Sy,
How about a mixture of angel wings, baby's breath, rose petals, vanilla beans, honey, cardinal wing, orchid, sugar cane, hershey's kisses, marshmallow whip, lilacs, and chanel#5., Believe me, it would work just as well, but wouldn't be as interesting a poem,
Very well written, as always

My oh my
a brew from Sy
we know his magic
as poetic high...

Lovely little stir up, Seymour.

Seymour,

is it just me or have you been writing metaphors about going to pay God a visit of late?

Seems as though you write of the hereafter more and more. Writing fabulously, I might add.

ST, uniquely entertaining read.
If it works i'd like the recipe.
