How much you really mean to me

Where can I start when I have so much to say?
How can I explain how seeing you brightens my day?
How can we be so close and yet so far apart?
Where do I begin telling you how much you've touched my heart?
First of all I'd like to say thank you for being who you are
But I must ask how come I feel you are so far
We used to be real close where nothing would come between us
But now I feel as if we are total opposites
But remember I'm always here for you
And I hope you feel the same way too
We've been through a lot in the past
That's why I know our friendship will last
I have a lot memories with you
Some bad, mostly good but no matter what we always made it through
You mean a lot to me, more than you will ever know
But with a friend like you I am afraid to let go
Finding someone like you is rare
That's why I want to let you know how much I really care
But sometimes I feel you don't really care
Losing you as a friend is the only thing I most fear
I don't want you to feel neglected for everything you've done
I just wish we will stay this close for years to come

Welcome to Passions, Cabral.
Lovely poem - full of heart's pain.
I hope you still have your friend.
If not, ask her to read your poem --)

Welcome to passions.
Your poem inspired this one from me.
And that doesn't happen very often.

I'm So Afraid

You alone mean the world to me
Without you I would not be
Please don't ever leave me
If I lost you I would
forever be in the shade
Never again would I see the sun
My life would no longer be
