About Mother Earth

Mother Earth it is time
to teach those that do not
know, so they don't get
overwhelmed for this
mighty cause.

Soon  they will be
killing hundreds of geeze
because you see they
don't like goose
poop, it destroys the scenery
in our parks - and people
are picketing this disaster.

A natural disaster, actually,
as man has unbalanced mother
earth's perfect nature.

About 20 years ago, they shot
the wild stallion mustangs down
in Montana as they were
starving  to death.

In Australia they had a horrible
time with so many rabbits.
They too had to be exterminated,
because of man playing around
with nature.

You see, people are calling
out save the trees - we
do!
Paper is a natural resource
and trees are grown for the
special purpose to make
into pulp every seven years,
then slashed down again
and replanted for the things
that we humans waste.

But, plastic comes from
the dinosaurs and cars of
gas still do roar because
of corporate giants that
want to squeeze the last
DIME out of this natural
resource.

We all do sit and go along
while MONEY rules this
earth -- and while there
is money - there will
always be wars.

Vietnam was a perfect
example of a war that
need not be, - but
Johnson had many
investments, don't you
see!?

Hemp would be a better thing
to plant ---to make clothes
and run a car without gas.
And provide a way
to help stop pain

But the hemp law
never gets passed.
My goodness, the corporate
giants would be quite stung,
by allowing hemp to grow.

You won't see a lot
of cars out with  electricity,
until the OIL GOD's have
depleted their money making
industry.

So, while all this is going
on we little guys are now
wiser -- and there are things
we can really do -

Separate your garbage
recycle
don't smoke
drive as little as necessary
turn down your heat
don't burn plastic
don't use stryo foam
try not to use disposable
things
Don't buy dyed papers,
as the dye does pollute
Make sure your septic
tanks are up to code

And, when you hear
of an oil spill that is
near - GO out and help.

Take your used batteries
to those that recycle
them

Then take your car oil
to be recycled as "bulk
oil"

If it were perfect, our
waste sites would use
incinerators
I wonder why they don't?
Probably because it is
more profitable to bury
it instead.

Don't give up, because we
can't run our government
and their money --but we
can all do little things
for mother earth so that
we can know that mother
earth has many years to
go.

Last year in our county
a man with a creek on his
land - made a generator
ran by a paddle wheel
- and had a perfect septic tank,
set the 100 feet from his
well.

But the electrical company,
said NO way you got to
be hooked up --
And his house they had
condemned.

He finally, did win!
And, is living there now!
But it is just a point
to show how companies
run by investors can try
to get every dime they can
make.

One person with a voice
as this story is told
should know ---we are
a mighty people and
our government is only
run by a few -- doesn't make
sense, does it now, as we
go out and vote?

And, those of you, who
don't take the time to vote
on these issues, get off
your butt and get out
of lethargy and  do
something.

Right now they are experimenting
about voting on line, and who
knows soon there will be a better
voting turn out and that is for sure.

Also, on line you can do
your shopping -Saving
much pollution and wasted
gas.

I vow to mother earth
this day April 22, 2000
that I will start with me,
as I am the only one who
can change me.

No meat I shall eat,
and "no hunting" signs
I will place throughout my
land --

I shall plant a tree today,
in your honor - and
since its spring I will
plant more seed and
start tilling the garden.

This I vow to you.
No plastic straw shall
pass my lips and
nor will I use styro
foam or plastic
cups, ever again.

I already do many things,
but have been slacking -
I vow to you, that I will
do  a lot more.

Mother Earth Day ----!

Netswan,
With the way you voice your opinion you should run for office. No kidding.

All my love,
Jeffrey

LOL ---that to me is so funny, Jeffrey
You don't know me, my friend. --)

Once I was asked to speak in a small
community church for the first half
hour as my preacher friend couldn't get
there on time.

All I did was introduce myself, and
said "I don't know the procedure
here, but probably wouldn't follow
it, even if I did!"

I can still his face when he found
his congregation rocking and swaying
and clapping hands and rolling on the
floor  Hallelujah!

I am sorry, Jeffrey, me in office, what
a farce - -and besides, the red tape
would have my hands tied, and I would
be one frustrated server of the people.

I am laughing again. I doubt that even
the liberal party would vote me in.

PERFECT NS~
BTTT

Well the sun sets gently on your shoulders
And it makes me want to touch you there.
And the light in your eyes makes me feel
Like there's something much better out there
Something kind...
And I know someday I might be looking around
Trying to find some purpose
Well purpose it can't be that hard to find
As long as I've got the wind...
The wind and your love to carry me.

netswan, I read this and I agree, too few run things around here. The story about the electric company trying to have the house condemed really made me mad. When we fight we can win these little wars. I think its not enough, its time to teach these little leaders a lesson. I think we should band together and go after these companies, they should no never to try and put the little people down. Its all us little people that keep this world going, and they don't realize that. Any company that does this should be sued for earth and natures sake, and the money put into  funds to help these little people. Too often you see this happen, and its the big guy controlling the media. Hopefully the internet can correct this   and get the truth out when we need it. Its a wonderful world lets not let it be destroyed by the greed mongers. If you see a cause go out and support them, it could be you next on the list.

Teresa - I agree, we all must do all that we can to care for Mother Earth.  My wife and I recycle, and we do all that we can to preserve the earth's resources...but, you'll never see me going "veggie"...I like my steaks too much!
