Butterfly Kiss
~~For Scott~~

In the calmest hours of night
Feeling alone, tired, and with fright,
A brush upon my cheek I feel
Breeze stirring from open sill.

From sleepless rest I do arise
Shutting out wind and her cries,
Again I lye to dreamless sleep
Wishing for your kiss upon my cheek.

O'er and O'er my thoughts do drift
How you left from life so swift,
Alone I cry--heart full of regret
Mother I cry for my heart to forget.

Lying in daze, wishing more
Memories embedded deep in my core,
Longing for breeze to brush my brow
Longing for breeze here and now.

In those calm hours of the night
Presence I feel in a breeze so light,
That brush upon my cheek so swift
Tis you my mother, stealing a kiss.

~~Scott, we both have suffered a loss so deep.  May this help in your healing~~

Marie~

And I'm all out of tissues. This is a very touching poem Mariee. I know someone that just lost their mother. Do you mind if I give this to them?

Marie - WOW!  This really touched me!  Both of my parents are still living - but the thought of losing either of them scares me to  death!  They are both in their 70's, and between them they take a whole medicine chest full of meds.  But I keep praying, selfishly,  that they'll live to be at least 100...
thank you for sharing your feelings on this tender subject, and also for reminding me that when my parents do pass on - they won't really be gone, completely.

I know this breeze.  My grandmother rides it from time to time.

Beautiful work here, and so full of emotion.

Thank you for sharing.

I never thought I would be without my mother~
Pretty hard to come to terms with her absence~
It's true tht she's not completely gone~
I feel her "hanging" around~

Marie~
This is so beautiful.
So reminiscent of my mother
who was the 'butterfly' in life
and an 'angel' now.
She tiptoes through my memories
and often in the night ... I feel
the flutter of her wings upon my cheek.

Thank you for sharing this tender poem.
Love ya'
