Child Abuse Theme

Senryu 5-7-5

A lonely child cries
woe behind bewildered eyes
ache caused by Daddy

Melissa~
This is so heartfelt.
These poems tear at our hearts ...
but then, they should.
We can't keep them in the dark rooms
they must all be told so people will 'hear'
the cries of the children before it's too late.
Thank you for sharing this.

This is very good, Melissa -- such heartfelt
words in such a short poem. Very well done.

Thank you for your replies, this was easier for me to write because I understand all too well how it feels to ache because of an abusive parent, and I wanted to contribute to the challenge.

Take care,
