She makes a loop
at the end of a word,
Pulls it tight on
her rhyming needle.
Then Liz takes some
words from her head
and loops them over
her thumb,
she then dips her needle
into meter
and makes me feel
quite dumb.
As she pulls the line
neatly in stitch.
And she continues until
a poem starts to take shape
She'll post three today
and I think
There's no way
I can do better than this!

Dear Bboog, If you don't mind, let me take the liberty of rewriting your lovely poem about me. This is how I woould have written it.

At the end of a word
She fashions a loop
On a needle of rhyme
Makes a hoop-dee-hoop
Then over her thumb
With a little meter
Dips her needle
And pulls it neater
She makes my fingers
Shiver with itch
As she pulls that line
To a metered stitch
And my fingers develop
A poet’s urge
As the rhyming verse
Begins to emerge
Then she does a spell check
Around every loop
Cause she’s petrified
Of getting B-booged!

Thanks for thinking of me
Hugs
Liz

bboog, I think this is EXACTLY how she performs her art, despite her contradiction!

She sure knows how to weave her words together, that's for sure! Great poems, both of you!

Your lovely poem shows a true appreciation of the work of a wonderful poet. Isn't she grand?

Claire~
Liz is certainly a talented writer and the only person I know who is able to whip a poem out of thin air and rhyme it with bboog!
best regards,
bboog
