Who Can I Blame?

Who can I blame?
I only had one
from age ten on.
One parent trying
too be two
a feat not easy.
Who's fault was it
she died,
and left me motherless?
A father trying
to make up for the loss
giving in to all my requests,
creating a monster.
Yes, I said monster,
that's what I became
spoiled rotten.
A spoiled rotten brat
to terrorize my Dad,
how he didn't kill me
I don't know.
I still wonder who I blame
for my disadvantages
for the imperfections
of my youth?
There is no one to blame
I am an adult now
grown with grown children.
My life went on even though
there was no one to blame,
cause we are who we are.
Living in the past we do not grow
we only harbor memories
to use as excuses.

Thoughtful poem you have here. I believe all said and done sometimes we have ourselves to blame for our ways. At least after we are old enough to know better.
I hope you find your answers.

Who's to blame ? Heck I don't know. If I would think about it there could be many to blame, but I prefer to look forward and live life now.

Temptress: Thanks for reading and responding, I appreciate your kindness.

Munda: Thanks for reading, and I also do not dwell on the topic, just was forced upon me by circumstance, life is too beautiful to trample upon living in the past.

Denise: Thank You very much.

tracie66: Wow, I was not expecting a fantastic out of this one, so I thank you most kindly, glad you enjoyed it.
