I stepped outside and
Time slowed to a
Hazy heat wave
Slow too hot to move
Kind of crawl

The crystal blue sky winked
Down at my slightly
Upturned face

Innocence recaptured in a moment…

And from above the sun
Saw a cherub smiling slightly
With the barest glint of
Smokey green slivered eyes
Winking back in that
Knowing sort of way

Sweetly soft cradling
sunlight
Heat rained down
Saturating white cotton
t-shirt
And faded denim
Raising goose-bumps on
Milky-white skin

And I shivered

As sweetly felt
Heard
spoken
Lightly touched thoughts
Of you, my special secret love
Drift floated
Languidly by on scents
Of a gingerlily and coconut
Afternoon

What a lovely day it turned out to be

Satiate, this one just made me smile wide...whoa.  You just keep getting better, girl, and it's aptly reflected in your writing.

Almost gave me goosebumps seeing the images you portrayed.

Indeed, what wonderful images come to life here.  Pondering crystal blue sky,  the rest is so very clear.  Sounds like you had a heck of a day there...

Temptress, good to see you girl!    Thank you.

Aw, Danny...yer a sweetie.

Ali, thanks, m'friend!

Michael, 'twas a wonderful day...it's amazing what thoughts of a loved one can do.

May I never be too busy to help another's load,
Then I'll be drinking from the saucer 'cause my cup has overflowed.

Well now, aside from a wonderful day... I LOVE the way you presented this. The word usage fairly struck hold and wouldn'a let go! GREAT twist in your normal style m'lady!

This is cool!!! Maybe I should take a day off to write!!! LOL, maybe I'd write something good then, though I doubt as interesting as this!
