I'm drinking a happy drink.
I'm firing a happy gun.
I'm thinking a happy think.
I'm aging, happily, young.
I'm smashing happy cars.
I'm writing happy songs.
I'm picking happy scars.
I'm falling, happy, long.
I'm forging happy rings.
I'm feeling happy tugs.
I'm flapping happy wings.
I'm shooting happy mugs.
I'm happy with my toys.
I'm happy hiding cracks.
And I'll happily deploy
Happy masks over my lacks.

I'm happy to be young.
Will I be happy to be dead?
Finally happy to feel sprung
Straight out my happy head.

only you could write this...
and only you can answer that question...
but i'm not sure you will be able to be sprung from that mind of yours *smile*

so where do ya get those happy pills anyway

Well the sun sets gently on your shoulders
And it makes me want to touch you there.
And the light in your eyes makes me feel
Like there's something much better out there
Something kind...
And I know someday I might be looking around
Trying to find some purpose
Well purpose it can't be that hard to find
As long as I've got the wind...
The wind and your love to carry me.

Hey, butterfly slippers!

Thanks for reading, as always. Especially since I almost never read yours -- or anyone else's -- anymore. And I do feel appropriately guilty about that, don't worry.

Anyway, happiness, and every other emotion (including a healthy dose of sarcasm) comes from your outlook. One cliche holds true: everything in moderation. Do you notice how happy is used so many times in that poem it loses all meaning? Same in real life.

My poems are sort of in pill-form. Grainy texture, usually easy to swallow.

Plenty of water.

guilty pills are bitter...dont swallow em...
I read your poems cause I enjoy them...not cause you read mine(or not)lol
and your sarcasm was not lost on me...nor the wit...
I'll take this one with rasberry iced tea,
(nectar of the gods) *S*...
but if your guilt is really getting to ya...you can call me butterfly slippers again LOL
