Breathes An Opal Moon

take shelter
in hope
give cynicism
no power
for it feeds on fear
and reaps only that
which it is fed

~dream~
allow your subconcious to
guide you
down the paths
of your future
for
in those deep rooted recesses
lies truth
lies understanding

~love~
let the expanse
of your soul
be filled
with the joy
of caring
only we
can validate ourselves
but
what use validation
if it
is not shared

~laugh~
for with an open heart
comes the ability
the gift
of a smile

Aw, how heart warming -- this is really
an effective way to write a poem.
Different, and drew my eye.

Powerful words here, and a strong message.  Extremely well done, with a good format as an added bonus!  Wonderful!

Very very interesting!  I quite like this poem, me thinks...
The first stanza really sticks it home, cynicism and fear...indeed.  Then it just keeps gettin' sweeter an' sweeter!  Left me with a smile!
