Oasis

It's dry here
the sand it burns.
The sun is baking
the wind is cutting.

No water forever
lips swollen, burning.
Stumbling in this sand
struggling to stay off my knees.

Death is laughing
waiting with the birds.
So many yesterday's
tomorrow seems dark, blank.

Chasing false mirages
a glimpse of green, sweet green.
Crawling with last bit of strength
praise God; it's life, it's water!

Just before the ending
this saving happens again.
Another killer desert, defeated
with His oasis... just in time.

thanks sis!
i have been posting archival stuff over at the corner pub.  Y'all probably have copies
of that 70's, 80's and 90's stuff...but if not you can see abit. I put the first published piece "A Time" there and then and
left a typo (that-in line three)in the text.
What a dunce i am sometimes, eh?
so where is the WC posting? i haven't seen anything since the FabFour, my dear...
