Columbine Crying
~*Marge Tindal*~

I heard the beat of angels wings,
as if hurrying in their flight.
The soft, but steady, whirring
of angels in the light.

They circled 'round Columbine High
and waited for the nod.
They gathered the souls of students.
They were sent by God.

They quickly found the children,
took them gently by the hand.
They carried your child to God,
safe from this violent land.

God spread the gates
of Heaven wide.
He bade the angels
bring your child inside.

The trumpets of Gabriel's angels
played a welcoming call.
The angels of Columbine High are gathered
now in Heaven's Hall.

Rest ye' now your weary hearts.
Let your teardrops fall.
God now holds your children safe
in Heaven's Hallowed Hall.

See a star.
Reach for the light.
Your children are glowing
in God's magic night.

Our hearts cried in unison at the loss
wrought so cruelly at the hands of those
who should not have had unlimited and
unsupervised access to guns.

Marge,
You never cease to bring deep emotion to your poetry. This is a very dear tribute. I am sure that the survivors of that awful tragedy would greatly appreciate your kind words.

Love ya',
Jeffrey

Marge, this is a beautiful tribute. What does it take for everyone to realize that we need to have compassion and love for everyone?

Rachel Joy Scott

Such a tragedy.  Your peom describes a much lighter side to it.

Though I still don't feel selfish for missing those who have gone to a better place.

I can pray to them, but they can't reply just yet... makes the wait between now and when we meet again seem so long.

Beautifully done Marge.  Thank you for sharing the gift you have of touching our hearts with a reminder of the angels that lost their precious lives did.

Wow Marge...this is so powerful, so loving, so hopeful..it is hard to find a light side to such a tragedy.  But those lost souls are indeed being taken care of now.  A stunning tribute to the lives taken a year ago.

WhiteNite~
I'm not sure that there is a 'light side' to this tragedy ... the important thing is for us all to remember.  Thank you for the picture and the site link.  There are many of them out there done in loving memorium.

Balladeer~
Yes, and that would be my wish too.
We can only pray for their families .. again.

ButterfliesDC~
I guess we all just need to take a moment to remember these precious lives.

Alwye~
I'm sure they are all in God's care.
Such a loss for this world.

*Let us all just take a moment to
send a prayerful thought to their
family and friends.
