The Director of the Dance

In a song, suddenly
there is you
directing the dance,
swiftly like a rising curtain
locked together swaying
is that fragile moment
still lit and languid
and poised forever in grace.

Circling memories wooden floor
the rhythm is captured
in your closed eyes
and I can feel the warm
wisp curling near my ear move to
your whispered sweet breath.

The melody is a laugh
tangled in night’s caprice
where the curve of your lip
decides the hour dawning,
as a flash of color stirs
then flows across my bare shoulder
where I was cold
and now am warm.

Martie~
Just so sensual and soft.

'I can feel the warm
wisp curling near my ear move to
your whispered sweet breath'

Lovely thoughts from a lovely lady.

M~
I wonder if you would mind posting this at the "Critical" analysis forum. Have some flea-sized quibbles that I think would make this a better poem. It's up to you of course but I promise not to throw a dart at you!
best regards,
bboog

Mike--The next dance is yours!

deers are more graceful--what a nice thing to say.

Thanks lovely Denise.

Thank you Marge for a lovely reply.

bboog--Thanks for the read.  Passions discourages posting the same poem in more then one forum....but maybe I'll go over there one day with another.

Hi Martie,

This is so beautiful, makes me want to find a dance partner and sway the night away.
Loved it, thank you,

Cerenity
