             Another day

The rain that played my window pane,
Instituted within my brain,
A delicate state of whimsy.

The process of a waking state,
Activated a little late,
Never the less struck me dimly.

And a subtle smile grew my face,
To think upon this sly embrace,
Even though I thought it hazy.

I upped the phone and call to work,
And though I smiled a little smirk.
I said the rain here, was crazy

So don't expect me in today,
I'll make it up some other way.

Seymour - Ooh, playin' hooky - I love it!  And, you have an excellent poem to show for it, you miscreant!  LOL!  Thanks - I loved it!

hsystems,
Playing hooky can be fun, thanks for the comment.

Sunshine,
I don't have to play hooky anymore, this is from the long forgotten past. *L*

Nothing like crawling back under the comforter on those gray drizzly days! This is cute, Sy!

Sy
I always knew you a little devil
That you would instigate a revel
And always thought it somewhat odd
This prim and proper nice facade
You are a treasure, but otherwise
A little devil in disguise
Great poem

Hehe... Never thought about calling in "raining" before... I'll have to consider that one...
