- This Mule's for YOU! -

I've only been a clown now, for just a couple years -
I've found it's so much easier to smile through the tears.
Each day I put my make-up on, I paint a big red smile,
a plastic nose & funny hair - it makes it all worth while!

If I but only make a single soul laugh out loud -
To know I brightened up their day, leaves me feeling proud!
With all life's disappointments that we struggle through each day,
I've found it's so much easier, to cope with them this way.

I know at times I'm bold & foolish - even "off the wall" -
A clown gives up their dignity - the price is rather small...
A "brighter day" is priceless & I think you'll all agree,
That laughter is good medicine & darn cheap therapy!

So if I seem a little "odd", resembling a Mule -
Remember, it's my job to make you grin, and play a fool.
And for those of you depressed - who prefer the state you're in -
I'm telling you, it's easier to bear it with a grin!

Bringing smiles to my face again Gen.     Thanks.

I agree.. much easier to deal with if you can just bear a smile.  They say that just smiling makes it easier, helps even more if you can brightens someone's day... but if you should ever find that smiling's not enough, don't hesitate a second use me as a vent, I'd consider it an honor to be one of the privlaged few. =)

Keep up the good work, as long as you and Balladeer are around to keep me smiling I'll deffinitely make it a point to fit Passions into my day.

Now I've gotta go post a reply to that great inspiration to get outside. =)  Later

(Not too many poems can make me post a reply from work ya know.   )< !signature-->

"The storm rises up when the shadows descend
every beat of my heart every day without end
I will stand like a rock I will bend till I break
till theres no more to give if thats what it takes
I will risk everything I will fight I will bleed
I will lay down my life if thats what you need
every second I live thats the promise I make"

I have no idea who wrote this... tell me if you know.  =)

"I'm only smiling on the inside, my grin is just skin deep....but inside I'm really crying, perhaps you'll join me for a weep..." -- Jack Nicholson "Batman"

I know that your life sometimes throws curve balls at ya.  Here's hoping we can teach you to swing outside the box and nail them suckers....

Great poem! I honestly do think that if people would try smiling more often, the world would be a better place.

See there, I thought the mule line was just because how STUBBORN you can be....    Hey, listen... you might want to make note of this:

Confucius say - She who uses Prodigy.Net receive "NO" emails though "MANY MANY" people try reach her, but she who plays with little green flower has ALL answered unto her.
