She is the air that I see
She is the air that surrounds me

One of the things I cannot decide
Is where beneath Heaven
Begins the all encompassing sky
Where she resides
The lack of oxygen sometimes kills
Down here below Heaven
Thoughts of her sometimes fills
The void that chills

She is the air that I need
She is the air that I breathe

There is nothing I would rather feel
Than the cool, calm caress
Of a wind that somehow heals
This pleasure I steal
The desire for this thing is so much
The closeness of her breath
The way only it can touch
It is my only crutch

She is the air that tastes so sweetly
She is the air so completely

ahhhhhh thank you...I can breathe now

this is beautiful jer, so lovely in its devotion and it is so serene and calming to read...
your words are written so well that the reader can feel those healing winds too
*SIGH*...
this poem needs to be Inhaled..not read (smile)
very nice...very.
stalking you like oxygen,
your jm

Well the sun sets gently on your shoulders
And it makes me want to touch you there.
And the light in your eyes makes me feel
Like there's something much better out there
Something kind...
And I know someday I might be looking around
Trying to find some purpose
Well purpose it can't be that hard to find
As long as I've got the wind...
The wind and your love to carry me.

What a beautiful tribute.  "She is the air that tastes so sweetly, she is the air so completely,"  what a way to end an already perfect poem.  You have such a way with words and your thoughts flow so well.  I agree with Janet, this poem is so visual and calming that the reader can't help but re-read it and ingest every emotion, as if your emotions were coming from the very depth of our soul too.  Do share more poetry with us!
Have you shown this to her yet, I wonder?

Take care,

Great job indeed!  I, for one, can definitely relate.  Go for it.
