When you're feeling sad
knowing people care
that they love you
may not make you smile
but may help keep you upright
stop you from falling
to give you courage
in dealing with a day of despair
just knowing there are hands
reaching out to hold yours
may not pay the rent
but the warmth
may help you feel
less alone
the love and friendship
will work as a shield
to protect you
from unkindness
as it settles
upon your shoulders
like an invisible cloak
snuggle into this warmth
wrap it round you
and when your day gets rough
feel the smoothness
ease the ache in your muscles
and know that you are loved...

Love makes the world go 'round; and when sadness prevails, we need to stop and count our blessings! This is an inspiring sentiment, ...beautiful.

Awesome!

What an inventive way to look at friendship! OF COURSE it would come from you!

This is lovely... and I'm grateful for the cloak of love that may be invisible to the world at large... but is a thing of beauty to the one wrapped in its comfort. *S*

Sweet RainbowGirl~
Wrap the cloak of friends close around
you and know that you are loved.
Love you.
