Balladeer killed bugs
For fifty some odd years,
He's finally retiring,
Goin' home to raise some steers.

The company had a party,
Gave him a watch of gold,
It was quite a wonderous watch,
Just what he needed as he grew old.

Fifty some years of working,
And now a watch of gold is what it's about,
Telling time at a glance,
As he watches time run out.

A can of "Raid" and this watch,
A life of simple ease,
Buggin' the hell outta Toerag,
He's an easy man to please!

I'm sure he's happiest when he's bugging Toerag! *G* (And a gold watch sure beats what my employers gave ME! LOL) Great poem, sweets!

And what will he do, Toe, with all of this new spare free time?  Other than watch his watch of course...?

ToeBabe~

When Balladeer retires
He'll just sit and write
Picking on the ToeRag
with all of his might.

He'll laugh and fire off volleys
of poems in delight.
Checking his watch
in the middle of the night.

You know he'll get you fired up
with his ingenious rhyme.
Cause now that he's retiring
he's got nothing but TIME !

Toe, he'd have the can of raid in one hand and the pen in the other...
There's a new species, Toebug.

Love it Toe

Hey there, Toe!
I was just wondering the same thing about you.
Where ya' been.
Good to see your smiling face here.
Balladeer will come out of hiding when he see's you're here ... can almost guarantee that.
Take care, my friend.
Love ya'

Yanno, sweets... things are so much more lively when you're around... if you could only stay, Balladeer might delay his retirement for many years! *G* He'd complain, of course... but sparring with you beats watching time tick away. LOL. The two of you have certainly breathed laughter into my life many times... without it, this gal is dragging butt! *G*
