Agonizing defeat-
Drapes her shoulder,
In quiet whispers...

Beyond the shadow-
Sweet love lures,
In all pureness...

Like an old flame-
Rekindled, Remade,
Begging-
For just...

~ One Breath ~

To renew passion
Gone dry-
But years before...

With reborn vigilance-
She gently breathes,
In and out-

Inhaling the essence-
Of long ago love...

Open arms can be the most fragile in the world...

Devina, my friend~
You are just amazing, little one.
A more open and honest young woman
one could not hope to find.
Your talent is growing as you 'grow'.
One of the things I admire most about
you is the fact that you're such a
LADY of dignity !
Have a wonderful day and may all your
tomorrows be happy.
Love ya'

*breathe in*
holding it...
holding it...
its too good to exhale...
ahhhhhh
perfect devina...a breath of fresh air.
take care, jm

Well the sun sets gently on your shoulders
And it makes me want to touch you there.
And the light in your eyes makes me feel
Like there's something much better out there
Something kind...
And I know someday I might be looking around
Trying to find some purpose
Well purpose it can't be that hard to find
As long as I've got the wind...
The wind and your love to carry me.

devina, such a lovely and well presented verse. The idea of breathing as it relates to love and life has always been one of my poetic favorites. So nice, this one.
