I saw an ad on tv the other night and it was about a car called a Holden Barina and i literally fell in love with this car. I can never afford it,but it doesn't hurt to dream
Silly eh.

Anyway the poem is called

MY CAR,MY CAR.

My car,my car,it is only small,it will take me far.

I'll hitch myself to the swiftest star.

I will travel down the road on silent mode.

With twists and turns and looks that yearn, as ilisten to the engine burn.

My car,my car,its my star.

it doesn't matter what colour it is, red or white, black or blue.

It is something i am looking forward too.

When i slip my hand over the wheel, my whole world will be off keel.

Thats when i know my fate will be sealed.

I have fallen in love with a car.

Maybe one day it will come my way, when it does it will make my day.

The leather seats with the beautiful new smell, it is something i am going to know so well.

It is enough to keep me under its spell.

When i look at the steel and chrome, i feel my mind start to roam.

When ilook at this car so shiny and new, it gives me a different point of view.

As isit behind the wheel, it is amazing what you start to feel, this car is pure sex appeal.

When the engine purrs into life, you take away my worry and strife.

It doesn't matter where you are, your always going to be my car,my car.

Hope you like it Jen

One car looks like another to me but it is nice to see such youthful enthusiasm.  Love, Joyce

Jenny,

What a fun poem!!! I never heard of a Holden Barina but it sounds Fantastic. I enjoyed reading about your dream car and I really enjoyed seeing you through your words admiring it, driving it, and claiming it as your very very own.

Again, thank you for sharing and God bless you my poetess friend.

A lively sense of fun animates this piece, Jenny--nicely done. A Holden--that's an Australian car, I believe.

Cheers,
Bill
