Beach Days It's been a long time now, for me, Since I could stroll beside the sea. I close my eyes and I am there. The breeze is salty, warm and fair. The breakers crash with thunderous roar Against the rocks and fall once more Into the surging tidal flow. It is a scene I love and know. I think about the days gone by, When I lived there and though I try, I can't recall a favorite day. They all were special in some way! And while I'm dwelling in the past, Trying to make this moment last, Then I am taken unaware, When I can see my shadow there! Betty Lou Hebert |
