Written for a young teenager who has been severely sexually abused by a family member, and has reported the case to the police.

The sad christmas poem

Though this Christmas may be lonely
And you may be the one and only
Please remember you are not alone
I am here on the internet phone

When the tears get to bad
When all you feel is but sad
When the tremors start within
When all you see is but sin

When the fear becomes too much
When horror gives its awful touch
When reason seems to fall beside
When all you want is to hide

There is someone here who knows
What it feels like with your woes
Who understands what the horror is
who knows Christmas is but fizz

So hugs to you at this Christmas time
I hope you smile when you see this rhyme
Hugs and cheer and presents too
Merry christmas and kisses to you

XXXX

whitedove,
A tender and generous write. Such pain from those you want to love. Well expressed.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane,
I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Thanks for the support.

I have been supporting this young girl for about 6 mths and have learnt a lot about what it is to be young and really relying on others.

Adults tend to forget that younger people have so little power over their lives.  It is very frightening to see it all, and yet also very touching and the strength and courage this young girl has, compared to so many adults.

PS she loved the poem!!
