Deja vu'

Deja vu' How sweet the sound,,,music to my ears
Once again together, after all these years
How many ages has it been, since we were torn apart
Too many lifetimes wandering, with an empty heart

I remember everything, as if it was a dream
Flashes here, misty there, sometimes pure and clean
Seeking, never stopping, for the other who was gone
Knowing that together, we would be just one

Lives of toil and hardship, filter through my mind
But in our love, we only knew, that the gods were kind
Many lifetimes we have shared, from in the darkest caves
To hunting in the mesas, with the Anastazi braves

So many times they tried, to tear our love in two
But I am meant for no-one, no-one except you
In Babylon we lived as one, contented with our lot
In Troy we fought and died together, buried in one spot

Camelot oh Camelot, the life that we had there
With the mighty Arthur and the lovely Genevieve
As Moorish chieftain and his bride we ruled the desert sands
Other times as peasants, worked upon the land

Somehow then a glitch, into the atmosphere
With my birth I was alone, my other soul not there
For reasons only gods decide, our love was torn in two
I have searched for centuries, searched so long for you

Sometimes, very faintly, I’d find the merest trace
Then lose it, feel my heart dying, despair upon my face
The world is full of chaos now, of that I’m very sure
Until, to find directions, you walked into my store

You looked at me quizzically, in that moment knew
Now it all is clear again, Love is shining through
You had known me once before, questions in your eyes
Now you’re in my arms, and everything is right

Our Souls are reunited, Magic fills the air
Romeo and Juliet?? Ha, they don’t compare
To all you cynics out there, one thing to say to you
Don’t ignore the hidden signs, revealed by Deja vu’

Live It

longte:  A great story set to rhyme and it does depict something many of us wonder about.
