Family and friends are there,
When you need them the least,
For a wound from love,
They cannot heal,

The lover, your other half-
Is not here,
And you bear the scars,
Hidden beneath a fake smile,

Why-
Love?- when you choose to,
Need not hide the scars,
The battle you proudly fought,

Emptiness-
Where once stood a heart,
Without its beating, you fail to live,
And show others your love is weak,

Carry the torch of hope,
For one sparks another love,
Second chance at full romance,
Flying free as a white dove.
