Tie Dye Sky

Upon a glorious span of lapis background,

she presents an autumn weave of intricate design.

Fleecy cloud formation spun in multi-texture and tone.

A mountainous range of billowing snowy puffs

tinted with rainbow hued edge – dominates.

Flamingo and turquoise unite harmoniously,

peach concentrate kissing pastel green.

The enormous cloud stretches and tears,

leaving torn ladder-weave to peephole blue,

and gauzy tufts scatter like a million snowballs.

Higher the horizon the back-drop darkens.

Huge contrary monsters gather like demons.

pillows of dark bellied cloud hang heavily,

bruised and expectant in grubby lavender.

A smoke stained veil over a bleached cloth sky

Dear June:  What a gorgeous description of a cloudy and colorful sky.  I wish I had seen it too!

June~
As God is my witness (and He usually is) ... before I came into the Corner Pub today, I was sitting out on the patio with the grandie girlies ... the thought 'Tie Dye Sky' came to me ... I scribbled it on a paper and put it in my purse to dip in my poetic ink tonight~

WELL ... now I KNOW that is was a 'thought floating from YOU' ... you simply cannot imagine what I felt when I came in here and saw your title !!!

Now ... that's karma~
Thank you for sharing~
And ... now it's one less thought I have to pen~  *whew*

Thank you Joyce. I was inspired by a beautiful late afternoon that was on the edge of turning dark.

Oh Wow Marge, that certainly is Karma. I had been watching a gorgeous sky one late afternoon and I thought to myself I think I will name a poem tie dye sky and describe that beautiful moment in it. How amazing that you should recieve those same thoughts too. I guess the vision I had was so stunning that ( and I like to think this ) The image and title floated way across the ocean to you.
Hugs from June xx
