Melt in Cocktail

I would like to drink myself into a moon cake cocktail-
I vision myself waving the glasses and peeking into its sarcastic self
To see that I am a hungrey polar bear trying to dig and catch its prey.
At the end to find out I am the prey of loneliness, as I dig deeper and deeper in... icq.
I try to trigger my happiness, by drinking and drinking myself into the moon cake cocktail.
I try to fake my confidence, in trying and trying to get approval- yet
Yet I am running away from the problem.
Running out luck on the cocktail contest,
I am drinking more and more, my focus lack perspective.
My problem is I don't even want to try-
For I don't think I will win.
I think everything is too hard.
I would like to drunk myself into madness of moon cake cocktail-
I wish someday, I am not lonely anymore, that
That I could be, proud of myself, and
And stay away from hopelessness.

Dear Eliza:  Probably the key to this whole poem is the sentence of yours, "Yet I can't run away from the problem!"  I guess you know we can't do that! The problem follows us wherever we go, until we solve it.

Hope you find what you sre seeking, very soon!

Love

.....not related to a Moon Pie festival then....those tend to be rather private and impromptu celebrations, and more closely associated with inhaling than imbibing.....

oh, Moon cake festival, don't have aclohol in it. Moon cake festival is from a fairy tale that a lady go to the moon. Later, it become a family gathering festival.

In my poem I mention about drinks, it is because, I am trying to describe my desire for the feeling of being loved by true love. Yes think moon pie festival might be moon cake festival but not too sure.

OhEliza~
What new meaning comes about with your explanations ... I love the idea of getting *high* on family love~

What a lovely storied thought~
Thank you dearie ... there is a 'cake' that goes along with the Mardi Gras Festival held in our town of New Orleans, Louisiana ... somewhere baked inside the cake is a tiny 'rubber baby' ... if you chance to get the slice with the baby in it ... good fortune smiles on you~

Our New Orleans has now suffered the ravage of the hurricanes ... but it is our hope that someday we will again celebrate the Mardi Gras Festival~
