on the lighter side......................
___________________________________________________

This poet begs your absolution,
for unsolicited intrusion,
into your space with trite profusion,
this deluge of debased delusion,

fueled in part by useless babble,
cleaved from games of boring scrabble,
into which I often dabble,
with other insipid rabble,

judge not too harshly words as such,
from those who often talk too much,
for someday trapped in wordy clutch,
you too may use it as a crutch.

the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost

Peggers~

Sir, I find
your words a treat
to one who talks
an endless streak~

Somewhere within this rhyme
know, my friend, that I find
within this doubletalking babble
I've NEVER found - boring Scrabble~

I'll hold you to a game sometime~
Beware ... I hold the DeLand Championship Belt !!!
(well ... consider this ... my Scrabble partner calls me Poet Breath~
Honest Injun !!

And a good, good day to you, my versatile poetic friend~

pegasus111:

Scrabble is a super game.
We would play it if you came!
Even if I never win,
I would greet you with a grin!
(I do win sometimes!)

The words would fly around the room
Banish every thought of gloom.
Bring the board out to the table.
Let us play while we are able!

Loved your poem!
