They came to conquer and be.
Resisted by those who were free.
On a set, sun was full of blue and gray.
Freedom's soul would begin to fray.


Much to endure, much to bear.
A nation of pride to tear.
Septentrion's smoke was at a cease.
Hope searched for a sign of peace.

this was kinda a history write; of the American Civil War.  more of a tribute to the various ancestors i have that fought for both sides.
