Old Garden

The garden's old, the flowers spread
Far outside each plotted bed.
The trees hang branches over all,
Drooping deeply.I recall
When this was manicured and neat.
There used to be a rustic seat
That sat against a red brick wall,
That's crumbled now and apt to fall.

The path has almost disappeared
Beneath the weeds, so long unsheared.
The birds, though, seem to like it fine.
They are profuse, their song, divine!
I liked it well enough before,
But yet, today, I like it more!
It's so alive and natural too.
There's charm in every tangled view.
It was quite a surprise today,
But now I hope it stays this way!

Sounds as though Nature has taken over and showing her prowess as a gardener.  Thanks for writing about it.  Love, Joyce

BettyLou~
I've seen such garden beauty in repose,
and found it quietly stunning~

Your poetic skills painted the perfect picture !!!
I said ... PERFECT !!!
